💬 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What class should I choose for my child?

We place dancers based on both age and experience to ensure they’re confident, comfortable, and challenged. Check out our [Class Schedule] or reach out—we’re happy to help you find the perfect fit!

2. Can my child try a class before committing?

Absolutely! During the school year, we offer trial classes when space is available. We recommend registering to secure a spot—if it’s not the right fit, you’re never locked in.

3. What does my dancer need to wear?

Each class has its own dress code listed in our Welcome Guide and on our website. In general:

  • Preschoolers wear leotards, tights, and ballet or tap shoes.

  • Recreational dancers follow class-specific dress guidelines.

  • Hair should be pulled back and no jewelry, please!

4. What ages do you serve?

We welcome dancers from 18 months through teen years—with select adult options too! Our class lineup is designed to grow with your dancer.

5. Do we have to stay for the full year?

Not at all! We bill month-to-month with no contracts or withdrawal fees. Stay as long as it’s a great fit for your family—we think you’ll love it here!

6. When do classes start? Can I join late?

Our Fall 2025 session begins August 25, but many classes allow mid-season enrollment as long as space is available. Reach out—we’ll help you jump in smoothly.

7. Do students perform in a recital?

Yes! Heinz Academy hosts two recitals each year—a production recital in December and a full year-end recital in June. Both performances are wonderful opportunities for dancers to showcase their progress, confidence, and creativity on stage. Participation is encouraged but not required, and we provide plenty of support along the way to ensure dancers feel prepared and excited to perform. These events are a highlight of the season for both students and their families!
